Art Like an Illustrator

Art Like an Illustrator gives kids a chance to create all types of art inspired by children’s illustrators! Each session we will focus on a different illustrator by reading a book (or two) that they illustrated and then we’ll dive into an art project in their style.

In this session, we’ll explore the use, and lack, of color The Fan Brothers create as they make their fantastical picture books. We will be creating a scene (possibly spooky) with a focus on black and white and then we’ll add a surprise piece of color. Participants should come ready with their best imagination!

For ages 6-12. Registration is required. Please register each child separately that will be attending the program using the child’s first and last name. We will meet in the large meeting room of the Windsor-Severance Library.
